...and growing

Lauren is now 9 pounds 6 ounces and 22.5 inches long. Dr. B says she is doing very well and is an active little girl! She is constanly moving her arms and legs. We think she may grow up to be a boxer, soccer player, marathon runner, or maybe even all three!

Picture #3 won by a landslide!

1 Month Old!!!

Lauren is one month old and SMILING!!! She started smiling a little bit a couple of days ago, but today we caught it on camera!

We spent Memorial Day at Christopher Morley Park with Andrea, Chris, Madison, Danielle, Skylar, Mark and Debbie. We relaxed and BBQ'd.

Maddy and Skylar played so nicely all afternoon.

Lauren hung out with Daddy under the umbrella and napped in her stroller.
Here are the pictures we took this morning of Lauren for her 1 Month picture. Please vote by giving your choice in the comments section at the bottom of this post.

Greg is 30!

Aunt Jenny threw a surprise party for Greg yesterday. He was really surprised!
Lauren had a great time at the party. She found many shoulders to snuggle under and everyone was happy to meet her.
Aunt Jenny got to spend a little time with her, and the next time we see her she will be in her own apartment! You can tell they were having a very serious conversation.
Both daddy and Lauren were pooped by the time they got home!

4 Weeks Old!

Here she is at 4 weeks old! It's been a long 4 weeks I guess, and Lauren is just too tired to comment! We've been busy the last couple of days and I have to say she has been sleeping much better, only getting up once in the middle of the night and going back to sleep easily after she eats. Thursday night Eric stopped by, we waited up for him and I don't think Lauren likes to be kept waiting! (or she was hungry!)

She finally decided to take a little nap while she waits for her bottle!Yesterday Grandma and Grandpa Pellegrino came to see Lauren. Grandpa fed her and Grandma sang her an original song (composed on the spot) called Rock and Roll Girl! Lauren might be a groupie!

Lauren likes...

Lately Craig and I have seen a lot of this face: We are having a hard time curing that face (we think it's gas!) and hope that she enjoys things soon. Some of her favorite things so far are :

Grandpa's shoulder,

sleeping on her belly,

watching her mobile,

tummy time,

playing on her floormat,

and hanging out with friends!

Jekyll and Hyde

Lauren is cute, sweet and innocent during the day and turns into an unhappy, crying baby at night. She has been up for the past two nights crying. We don't know how to comfort her. Both Craig and I have tried everything to soothe her. We can get her to drift off to sleep holding her and as soon as we put her down, get our head on our own pillow and we start all over again!

I hope this doesn't last long...

Not a reader yet...

You would think the child of two teachers would be more interested in reading her first book...Lauren was not too happy about her first story time. We'll have to work on her reading stamina!

We had fun spending the afternoon with Jamie yesterday.

So Fussy!!!

The last couple of days have been a lot more difficult. We have passed the whole eat, sleep and poop stage! She now stays up longer and takes everything in, it is so cute the way she just watches her surroundings.

When she is not looking this cute and innocent...she is crying, and crying, and crying! We have walked, sung, bounced, cuddled, eaten, had diapers changed, taken a bath... none of these seem to be very soothing. She did finally calm down for about half an hour when she hung off of my arm.
I think after a full day of crying, she wore herself out and went to sleep!

She's an eater!!

We had our first appointment with "Dr. B" today. Lauren now weighs 7lb 14oz, that is a whole pound since we left the hospital! She has also grown to 22 inches. She was great at the doctors office and never complained once while she was examined.

Lauren had her first bowling night last night. Debbie and "Aunt" Andrea came over to see her and keep mommy company while the boys bowled. Lauren did not seem too interested, she mostly slept.

Daddy and Grandpa like to help Lauren have tummy time!

Bath Time!!!

Lauren took her first bath today! I wasn't sure she would like it because she hated her sponge bath so much. To our surprise she loved it. She loved the tub and her rubber duckie!

Yesterday we took our first trip to Grandma and Grandpa Krupski's house. We had dinner there and Lauren got to meet Aunt Marie, Lindsey, Jackson and Leo.

We're not sure if Lauren likes to eat from the bottle or not!
