2 Years Old!!

Well, if we thought the first year went fast , the second year is a complete blur! Lauren is 2 years old and we can't believe how much she has grown and changed in the last year! She runs, climbs, talks and uses "nice" words to ask for what she wants. She uses complete sentences (3-5 words), knows her ABC's and the sounds for about 8 letters consistantly, she can count to 20 (even though she skips 8 sometimes), recognizes colors and shapes, and she knows the names for most animals!
We had her birthday party on Saturday at the Little Gym where she has a weekly class. Lauren was a little under the weather, but we made the most of it and all of her friends had a good time.Nemo cake!!

At home last night we celebrated with a RE-Decorated Nemo cake and had dinner with family.

Happy Easter!!

We hosted our first Easter at our house this year. Lauren was very excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought! We all had a nice time and really enjoyed the beautiful weather... especially since last year we were all in winter jackets!
Checking out the goodies the Easter Bunny brought.

I don't know who leaves better stufff, the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus!
Hunting for eggs.

Animal Zoo

Everyone had the same idea we had on Friday...the "animal zoo" (as Lauren calls it) was packed. We had an awesome time with Maddy, Ryan and Elyssa despite the parking lot!
Loving the caterpillar outside the Butterfly exhibit. Our little prairie dog is so much bigger than last year!

Eggies!!!

The weather finally cleared up! We all went to Maddy and Ryan's Easter Egg Hunt. Lauren predicted that Ryan would find 4 eggs, Maddy would find 1 egg and she would have 2 by the end. We had way more than that, Andrea and Chris put out 100 eggs for the kids!
Lauren deciding which egg to go for next.Maddy with a blue one.

Lauren put all her eggs in one basket.Daddy tried to be tricky and hide one, Lauren found it!

Ryan really loved his Viking hat from our McDonald's dinner after the egg hunt.
